Was your meeting this past Monday or is it next Monday? I have been running on fumes for the last couple of weeks and I can't keep my days straight. I was thinking about you and how everything went.
Re: 2Vermont
Hey...it was this past Monday...and it went very well. Everyone was so understanding. The people I work with was one of the pros to this job and their reactions only confirmed that.
The principal did ask if I could stay on until Christmas break because he thinks he'll have an easier time finding a replacement if I do. I thought that was a fair request, so as of now I anticipate resigning 12/19 or so. I also found out that my insurance will remain in effect until the end of December just in time for my husband's to kick in on 1/1.
Although I suspect the next two months will be extremely stressful and draining, it feels great getting this out in the open finally.
Thanks for asking ladies!
Yay! I am so glad things went well. Hopefully December will be here before you know it! Even though it will be stressful, there is something to be said for the peace of mind that comes with knowing there is an end in sight.
Awesome! It's so much easier when there is an end in sight. I once resigned from something 10 weeks before I was leaving, partially because I knew it would take a while to find someone and bring them up to speed on my projects, but partially because there had been upheaval in the company to the point that I dreaded going to work each day to deal with an insane boss. It really made a world of difference. Just letting them know that I wasn't staying gave me a mental break that I needed from the craziness around me. I hope things surprise you and that the months fly by!
One tip from yoga/meditation: during the stressful times, make sure you exhale. When the body tightens up, we often dont' exhale, and then it exacerbates the stress on a physical level. Just a friendly reminder! I've been working on noticing my breathign during a stressful day, and it helps
That's terrific! I'm so glad things went well! ?
