It's a ghost town here. I suppose people are still doing the holiday thing. I am preparing for not one, but two blizzards in the next 2 days. Awesome. Gotta love the midwest.

i was thinking about how slow it is here the other day. i was stalking on TK and one of the locals b!tched about her club board (aka us) when we were on TK and how we were so mean (boo hoo) and now our board is quiet (by her logic because we were all such horrible people).
But when i thought about it, really, it's because we all moved on from our weddings which we planned mostly online because there are so many resources. now we're all moving on with jobs, buying homes, making babies (or parenting step/children), and other things that dont revolve around the internet. we all have lives, and we spent so much time distracted by weddings, that now we've got to make up for the 12-18 months we were all going bananas. now we have to blend the families that we gained with the ones we had. ohh... and spend some much needed time with the husbands!
(plus, most of us can't hang around on the internet at work.)
we've all only been married for 6 months, so i think when things calm down, we'll come back together.

That's a good way to put it. Our lives were consumed with our weddings and Internet for a long time. I hope we all eventually wander back here! I miss everyone!

I was thinking about how slow it was yesterday. Nobs you brought up some very good points. Hopefully this place with liven up a bit.
I was actually hoping for another blizzard here in NY. Still crossing my fingers.
Send some of that snow down here.
H and I haven't been up to much. I have enjoyed my time off work tremendously and don't want to go back to work Tuesday. At least I will have the Buckeye game to watch.

Cant park anywhere, and streets are still a mess, we didnt see a plow until late Tuesday afternoon, when it started to snow sunday morning! Bring on the sun to melt this ugly brown crap!!
Lol no. The town is pretty well set up for large amounts of snow. Everyone drives big vehicles and owns a snowblower and/or has paid someone to come plow them out. But those guys are really earning their money right now!

I'm assuming you're referring to my post... let me clarify... I was trying to help that girl out who was having a hard time w/other boards. I was not "b!tching" about this board - I've always like the June knotties, I just had one bad incident with one particular person a looong time ago. So that's where that was coming from.
And the board being slow is not attributed to "being such horrible people." I just see it's slower than the local board. That's all!
ok. sure.
(and that's pretty much all i'll say about that topic. i'm too tired to bother with spin, and i figured having the quote would give people both sides of the story at once.)
