What are your plans for NYE?
DH and I always try to plan something fun and exciting for NYE and it never works out. We usually always end up having a few people over to just hang out, drink, and play games.
This year we are going with our bestest couple friends and reserving a lane at the bowling alley. They have a big all night bowling thing with music, a good bar and a huge pizza/appetizer buffet (which DH is excited about!) I figured it was something different but we don't have to sit in a bar or club all night...
Still, I feel like an old person saying "yea, we're going to the bowling alley for NYE."
What are your plans, ladies?
Re: What are your plans for NYE?
Love the bowling idea
... I haven't bowled in forever, it brings back memories!
This year DH has to work because he just took time off for our wedding. I will either be hanging out at home, or going over to a friends house for a bit. I guess it will be pretty low key around here
. I'm ok with that though.
I think bowling sounds like tons of fun! We used to go out every year but it's a huge pain and so expensive especially right after Christmas. One year we went to a bar and knew almost everyone there. Our friends and friends of friends, brought most of the tickets. That was my favorite NYE. Plus we watched the fireworks in the harbor.
Esther, I can't believe it's been two years! Happy early anniversary sweetie!
DH and I are doing a late dinner and drinks with 3 or 4 other couples at a Greek restaurant/bar. The food is fab, there will be a belly dancer, the bartenders always go heavy on their pour, it's about 5 minutes from home so we should be safe from all the wackadoos on the road, and will be so much cheaper than the $200-300 per couple that some of the places in STL are charging. We'll probably end up at one of the couple's house afterwards for more fun or...if DH has his way we'll be making a NYE baby. His baby fever is off the charts - haha! It's low key compared to past years' celebrations, but am looking forward to it.
To be in bed by 10:00.
No, really we have ZERO plans, DH could care less and frankly I'm planned out this year so I'm not making plans... and since he won't.. we won't be doing anything.
Yep, I wish we could do your bowling plan too with some friends. That sounds like tons of fun!
We're feeling old, so....I'll drag him somewhere to eat dinner out and then the rest of the night is just us on the couch watchin tv. Lame, but I couldn't find anything better that we'd pay $ to do.

UPDATED 07/28/10 My Planning Bio
Our plans are to go up North to a friends cabin with about 20 people... Its not that big of a cabin but that's how my friends roll. The girls are planning on snowboarding during the day and the guys will be holding down the fort. I know backwards!
However! AZ weather is CRAZY! It never snows in the metropoltian area and its snowing! Well, not where I am but about 15-20 minutes from me it is. Roads are closed and for a place that doesn't ever experience weather like this, people are going bonkers. Cross your fingers for us!
Have fun ladies!
