Yes and no.
My family were not huggers. My mom recently started doing it and it always seems a little awkward because it's almost like we don't know how, lol.
But with friends that are habitual huggers, I'm all for it. I just hate that moment when you don't really know whether someone is a hugger and you're feeling all awkward wondering if you should hug them hello/goodbye or not.
I can't get enough snuggles from V but I don't know if that really counts as being a hugger.
You know what else I really hate, when you don't know if someone is a single hugger or a left-right cheek hugger. I usually go for the single but when the lean in for the other cheek, I'm like, awkward.
I'm so complicated, haha.

Sean's aunt is European and she does the double cheek kiss when greeting/saying goodbye. I always forget that she does this and it's super freaking awkward every time. haha! I think she understands that it's not custom for us, but still... it's weird.

This exactly...though my dad isn't a huge hugger. My mother hugs people she has never even met. We are big huggers!
