Re: Holiday weight gain?
I lost a lot of weight in the weeks before the wedding without trying, so I had gained about 11 pounds back, but then I lost about eight of that and now I'm back up a few. It's been a roller-coaster of a couple of months! Part of it was my thyroid and I lost a little when he upped my meds, but then I ate a lot of crap and we've been going out a lot because we were just too busy to cook.
I liked the "too afraid to look" option. I avoided the scale for about a week or so because of that but got back on yesterday because I have a doctor's appointment, so I'd rather not be surprised when they weigh me!

I have been probably 10% as careful with my diet and workouts post-wedding as I was before the wedding.
However, for the holidays, I haven't gained any way, post wedding though, I've gained about 5 pounds.
DH got me a heart rate monitor watch for Christmas which is definitely inspiring me to get back into the workout mode!

The only concern I let myself have is "do my jeans still fit??"
I lost about 30 lbs, gosh, like 5 years ago now, and have kept this "new" weight without a problem. I strongly dislike the "I need" clothes shopping, especially pants (I much prefer the I want shopping
so my only judge of weight changes are my pants, really.
My two favorite pairs of jeans do feel a little more snug, but they still fit. I keep telling myself to get back on a running regime, but the question of "cold outdoors" vs "extra time needed to workout at the gym" is delaying everything.
I have 3 younger sisters, talk about an image concerned household, and my mom never let us own a scale. I've contemplated buying one many times, but I still haven't bought one myself. The only reason I kind of know my weight changes is the doctors and occasionally stepping on the scale at the gym.
Ugh, since the wedding I've gained appox. 6 lbs
I worked SO hard before the wedding... eating so well and working out so hard that I think I just became burnt out. I went back to the gym for the first time in 2 months this week and oh man am I sore.
I'm annoyed with myself because I was so good and so toned and now I have to start all overrrrrr.
Vent over.
