Not much, slow day at work. I'm waiting for a review with my manager and his manager to discuss a raise for 2011 (standard procedure in our company). However the review was supposed to take place Monday and now it's Thursday, so I really have my fingers crossed that it happens today, it'd be a great way to start 2011! Typically it's 2-3% but since one of the sr. engr's is retiring and I'm taking on much more responsibility, I'm praying for 6+%. Pray for me too!
In other news in my world...this morning I accidently burnt my earlobe when doing my hair, not just touching with the straightner, but "pinching" it, so both sides of the lobe were burnt. Now it feels like someone is pinching my ear. Owwy!
I also tried a new breakfast sandwich at Starbucks (the last day of the work-week I reward myself with that for breakfast). I usually get the turkey-bacon and today got the regular bacon/gouda. My consensus is that it is more expensive, smaller, and not that much better tasting.
Any others have random thoughts to share?

Ouch Hannah! I had a huge burn on my forehead from the curling iron for about a week when I was 14. :-/
I'm at work. I'm assuming some people are off today. My DH (stands for damn husband in this instance) has Friday and Monday off. OH and he had last Friday and Monday off. I know I mention this every other day. :-P
I'm going to a friend's birthday party tonight - bowling and drinks. Her birthday was Tuesday, but since a lot of people are off tomorrow she wanted to GTG tonight. I *might* go see Black Swan and go to the gym tomorrow, then we're going to a party at our favorite bar - open bar and tacos from 9pm onwards. I'd like to do a lot of "New Year's cleaning" projects this weekend, like clean out from under the bed and organize the closets. And get a lot of reading done.
Also, I have a short week next week too! Only Mon-Wed, then we're going to Boston for 4 days!

I'm here! It's my Friday so I'm just cruising through the day.
My random rant; I hate facebook. I am seriously considering deleting it.
1. I took my new last name off (replaced with middle name) to prevent public searches because I feel like the FB security issues always come up and working in the finance world, I don't want to be "found" by the wrong person.
2. Last night I posted that you can't escape your fate, no matter how hard you try. It was a simple statement, not meant for anyone or anything in particular really.
...today I've had multiple people asking if 1. im separated from my husband (name change) and 2. if I'm preggo (status clearly says this).
Really?? I mean.. really?!?!?!
I usually eat the bacon/gouda (though I only get like 4 a year) because I don't like the english muffin that the turkey-bacon one has. I love the roll that the other is on. Yum!
I'm still in TX visiting family. It has be soooo nice being off work all week and just hanging out with my family. Today is Christmas #3, as my sister got in town last night (she was stuck in NY with the blizzard). Off to open more presents...
Lol, my sister says the same thing but I guess I've just grown used to it.

I'm here, probably on and off all day. I've got a horrible sinus infection, and I am fighting some tears because my head hurts so freakin bad! Jeremy and I both work in education, so we've been off since the week before Christmas and haven't gotten much done! We'd planned to get lots of stuff done, the only thing we've done is tile back splashes behind the sink and stove, but that was a quick job and totally on the spur of a moment, not planned at all! I have a desk to redo and an office to clean and make usable, but that hasn't happened at all, and I really just haven't felt like it this week. Better sick this week than next I guess!
I didn't even know Starbucks had breakfast!
As soon as my headache lets up a bit I'm gonna go semi-permanently dye my hair blonde! Everyone always said I should have been blonde, so I'm taking em up on it!

I am here off and on. I am coming down with something so Mike let me sleep in while he took care of breakfast with L. I think we are going to get out of the house now that it seems to have warmed up today though. Poor Logan has been in the house for 3 days, we all need some fresh air.
And I am thinking I need a haircut. I have been putting it off because I have no idea what I want to do but I need to do something...
No - that's how ridiculous this is - my status is "You can't escape your fate, no matter how hard you try" and somehow that equates to me being pregnant. I have NO idea why that would make anyone think that, let alone the 3 texters I had this morning.

Burning yourself with the flat iron is no fun. OUCH!
I think while DH is at work tomorrow I may follow suit like others and see Black Swan. I know there's no way DH will go see that - well except for the girl on girl kiss.

I just woke up an hour ago - I'm always way behind all of you because of the time difference!
DH just left work work 10 minutes ago and I work at 5:30 tonight. So I'll be on and off
I got a new laptop for Christmas, and bought Sims 3....so I'm doing that too!
I'm at work for another 8 hours, so I'll be around.
Got our new loveseat and couch delivered today and put up new curtains. Woo, our apartment is starting to look a little less like a college dorm!
