Cooking Question

Hey Ladies! I have a cooking question for you.

We're having Olivia's birthday party this weekend, and we're having shredded chicken sandwiches. We're just going to have some BBQ sauce and stuff on the side for people to add on, but how would you cook the actual chicken? I usually boil the chicken, then shred it and cook it in BBQ, but how would you cook it if you aren't adding the sauce to it?

Just salt & pepper it? Chicken broth? Any ideas?

I'm sure I'm making this far too difficult...

Re: Cooking Question

  • When I made a large amount for the baby shower, I just did it in the crockpot with a small amount of water sot keep it moist.  Then shredded it right there also.

I just added a little TS seasonings, onion,  garlic and some season salt.  Not much of each!

  • I agree, do it in the crockpot. I usually add a can of chicken broth to make it really moist. It will pull apart really nicely and be DELICIOUS! :)
Lots of love and continual explosions of babydust to my BG Besties! XOXOXOXO

  • Thanks for the tip ladies - I didn't even think about just cooking and shredding right in the crock pot!

  • I have had good success with this recipe. It has a lot of flavor. It's really easy all in the crock pot and makes a lot of food:
