The slowest website EVER????
Am I the only one? Regardless if I am at my work or home computer, this is the slowest loading website I am ever on. Every other site I visit regularly loads quickly so its not the computers. Just wondering if this is a common problem....
Re: Why is the Nest....
Yup, it's definitely a slow site, it's so content heavy that it's probably pretty unavoidable.
Digging through the code... It's already in asp which helps some (data is called in from the servers as opposed to living on the page beefing up file sizes, also helps with site-wide updating). But there are a bunch of separate script functions, and as they each load separately it slows it down more. I'd think they'd be working on consolidating those and the multiple stylesheets. But also, where the servers are located in relation to you can have a sizable impact too. A cross-country server can double your load times.

This is actually usually the issue, sometimes when viewing messages, but mostly when posting.
I could blame the slowness on my home computer (although it is not slow with anything else), but since I experience the problem at work (when I probably shouldn't be on the nest anyways) where we have brand new everything technology related, I figure it is website related.
