NYE: What are you dropping?
Hopefully this isn't a repeat.
I want to know what your town/city drops for New Year's Eve!
I've been to surrounding towns & cities for NYE and here's what I've seen so far..
We drop a red rose in Lancaster, a strawberry in Harrisburg, a pickle in Dillsburg, and a wrench in Mechanicsburg!
Re: NYE: What are you dropping?
Not a daggone thing. :P
We just all watch the ball drop on the TV.
Ours doesn't do anything. You have to go into Boston to have anything and I don't know what they drop.
Exactly this.
We don't drop anything that I'm aware of, but we all say that we're going to drop pounds in the new year!
Around here they call the celebration "first night" there's usually bands and fireworks. Two towns in NH had a "first night" celebration, but we just chilled at home.

When did Mechanicsburg drop a wrench... lol. Middletown did a ball that was attached to a firetruck ladder but they didn't do anything this year. Doesn't Hershey drop a kiss? Or I think they do something with the kissing tower. I think Lebanon does a bologna.
I saw the wrench drop maybe 5 years ago? And yes, Hershey does drop a kiss but I don't know if it's the kissing tower or not. And Yay for Lebanon and the bologna!!!
I've come to find that PA drops a lot of stuff. Apparently we love it and will drop anything, including edible food from a shoddy firetruck ladder!!! So much fun! The anchor sounds cool too. I think Shippensburg drops an anchor as well.
