Early TGIF and New Years Resolution time !!!

How about it ?!?! Since today is my Friday?.here we go !

I know that a lot of ppl do not make resolutions, they do not stick to them etc etc.

But come on, I know you have a wish or hope for the New Year !!

And what is the scoop for the last weekend of the year !!

Tonight ? cleaning and prepping for my little gtg

Tomorrow- spin and then shopping and getting ready for the party J  at night we are just having a handful of people over to ring in the New year. Pretty low key J

Saturday ? I have a double of spin and chisel at the gym and then cooking at the Ronald McDonald House.  at night we may hit a movie and dinner !

Sunday ? The BIG year end weigh-in at WW AHHHHHH  do I hit my goal for the year?!?!?!  I hope. Then relaxing and cooking for the week and that is that !!

My resolution ? To continue on my WW journey and hit my goal (that is a half year goal) and my biggie is to train for a ? marathon and complete it in August with some awesome Nestie Running Buddy Support !!!!!  I actually stuck to my resolution this year and kept up with WW for the entire year. So I think my resolution is very attainable !

Happiest of New Years to you all !!!

Re: Early TGIF and New Years Resolution time !!!

  • We actually don't have any set plans for the weekend. We'll be ringing in the New Year at home. Maybe I'll go out and buy a couple of lobsters so Brian and I can have a special dinner. After church on Sunday, we'll likely be heading to our friends' house to watch the Pats game, so that our kids can play together.

As for resolutions, I haven't really decided on one. Normally I don't make a resolution, anyways. I'd like to lose some weight and just be healthier in general, but with breastfeeding, I'm kind of at a standstill. (Although, my pants are fitting looser now... and my recent bloodwork showed huge improvements in the areas that were troubling at my last physical). Maybe I'll make a true effort to work out a little every day. I know I need to do *something* but am not sure what.

  • today:  lucky for you guys.. no bridges in walking distance because I'm ready to JUMP!  ya know, since I can't fuckingdrive to any.

tomorrow:  holding on to some shred of hope that DH will be able to fix whatever the eff is wrong with the car without having to have it towed somewhere to be fixed where it will then sit for days because of the holiday before someone will probably look at it.  and hoping someone will take pity on me at some point before stores close because apparently my new years eve tradition is to see if we can run out of toilet paper (put on the last roll today)  and then give 2010 the big finger.

saturday:  wake up and hope it was all a bad dream.

sunday: probably working.. but I need to get my schedule.

  • weekend plans:

tonight: dinner in the maryland 'burbs with those people ;)

tomorrow: making one last batch of irish cream for Irish Cream Tiramisu and an early dinner with DH at cava mezze, then toasting at home.

saturday: heading out for a belated christmas celebration with katie & co.

sunday: errands, watching football (hopefully the pats game will be on here), making a big batch of sauce and steph's chicken parm meatloaf.

    2011 resolutions:

taking an art class of some kind, probably photography since i'm considering investing in a DSLR this year

making time for craft projects in general

more handmade birthday & holiday 2011 gifts (the cranberry liqueur and cinnamon bitters were very popular this year, irish cream is on it's 3rd year as a holiday fave)

working out more - i was on a good roll before thanksgiving and then got lazy (i have a gym in my building, no reason not to go there often!)

clean eating - started doing this last year and plan to continue

continue playing tourists in our own backyard - we've been doing this here in DC and it's something we didn't do enough our last few years in nyc

we may start looking to buy an apartment at the end of the year . . .

I don't normally do resolutions, but I have been good about exercising lately and plan to continue!

And MAJOR congrats to you, Lesa - you have been an inspiration this year!

  • Tonight: drunk off my dad's homemade wine :) inlaws just left

Tomorrow: new years eve party at my house!

Wish: I wish to get preggers this year :) I have waited so long because of school! I can't wait to be a mom!

Resolution: (common one) but i hope to stick with my workout routine that i have been doing :)

  • Plans ringing in the new year with some friends...Sat...prob just chilling...Sun football and getting ready to go back to work :-(

My resolution...I AM going to do a 5K with some of my nestie friends... and stick to my weight loss.
