Spill! What'd you love? What'd you raise an eyebrow at? What will you be returning today? For those with kids, any relatives give you anything super strange? (And yes, obviously, I recognize that the holiday season is more than a time to give/get gifts, but come on...this is the "fun" part).
Here's my list. DH and I didn't exchange gifts this year (put everything towards our NYE trip), so these items are from grandparents, my mom, my aunts and uncles, and my brothers.
A NEW SEWING MACHINE! (My super-crafty brain almost exploded); a Cuisinart hand mixer, some new warm clothes, quilting and cooking odds and ends (apparently "you're a SAHW now" spread through the familial channels and I'm expected to be Martha Stewart -- a designation I love, but also find kinda funny).
I'm bouncing off the walls about my new sewing machine. I want to set it up now, but I'm missing other crucial tools (cutting mat, rotary cutter, fabric and patterns to start!!!).
What'd Santa bring you this year?
Re: Gift Run-Down
DH and I set a limit of $250 for each other. Mostly because we would both go way overboard if we didn't. Well, apparently he doesn't listen very well because I got a Nikon D3000. Not to mention all the other goodies! I was so ecstatic. I had no idea. It was the last thing I opened, and it was such a shock.
Other things he got me were a laptop case, a CD case for my car, books about Savannah, Just Dance, The Last Song DVD, Sons of Anarchy Season One DVD, a new robe and lounge pants. My parents really went crazy this year. I got a ton of new clothes from them, mom got me a pair of Sperrys and a pair of black boots. They also got us 8 new Fiestaware glasses.
Other than the camera, my favorite gift was a GC to Uncle Bubbas in Savannah. It is Paula Dean's brother's restaurant and it is AMAZING. I think DH and I are going back sooner than we expected! Merry Christmas, girls! I hope you all had great ones!

So jealous of your DSLR, kaley!
I actually purchased most of my gifts Black Friday and wrapped them up, so I knew everything I got (a F21 loot, college football hoodie, new liquid measuring cup, DVDs), but DH surprised me with this little basset hound stuffed puppy I fell in love with weeks earlier. He's trying to get me to agree with a breathing one.

I got some random gifts from the parents like a towel rack, purse, pajamas, scarf set, wall frame, watch, and sweaters.
Lucy Elizabeth 10.27.12
My loot: Kindle (got it early), Coach wristlet, hand crocheted blanket made by my mom, black pea coat, cable knit sweaters, scarf, hand mixer, a few random kitchen gadgets, Sephora GC, Target GCs, cash and lots of edible goodies.
I just spent my Sephora GC on new makeup brushes, an eye shadow palette and some Nars blush.

The weirdest gift was definitely this little gem in my stocking from my MIL:
DH and I decided not to exchange gifts this year and just buy for Amelia and our nephews. But...I got some scrapbooking stuff and The Sound of Music. It is one of my favorite classics that I did not have a copy of yet.
Amelia received a Baby's 1st Christmas ornament that is clearly for a boy. Not a huge deal but just one that makes you say "Really?"
KB- that is ummm interesting.
Got a few nice sweaters, a new scarf & gloves, a cookie/frosting press and new cookie sheets, some pretty Avon cosmetics from MIL.
From B&SIL we got the usual cookie and soup making kits, and the nieces like to paint rocks for us. Cute, but what am I supposed to do with a rock with melted crayon wax on top?? hahah.
DH and I didn't give eachother gifts. We are still attempting to go strong on the "pay off the credit cards" thing. But I was bad and gifted myself a clock I have been drooling over for months from C&B
DH and I didn't do gifts this year either except stocking stuffers, we're saving to go on some sort of vacation this year. He got me the collectors edition remastered Nightmare Before Christmas Blu-ray and Corpse Bride Blu-ray.
My parents gave us money since they know we're trying to save money to go on a vacation before we have kids.
Nick's parents & siblings got me a LOT: 3 pieces of my Lemongrass Fiestaware serving/bakewear pieces. I got the 9x9 and 9x13 pans and the round covered casserole dish. I got a OXO 'pop' storage set but I'm going to return because it doesn't have the sizes I need. I want it for flour and sugar storage. I got a second Calphalon loaf pan because I only had one and most recipes make 2 loaves. I got a cutting board set that I'll be exchanging because I don't care for it (too small). And I got gift cards to Lane Bryant and Bed Bath & Beyond.
Very practical, adult gifts... blah to being an adult.
We still have my family Christmas yet to do, won't be until January 17th, because my other brother and sis-in-law had there baby right before Christmas.
I got DH a 200-pc Craftsman Tool Set.
My Christmas present from DH was a new phone. We go the Droid 2 Globals. I also got a pizza air bake pan and the new Eminem CD.
From In-laws we got cash, a Foodsaver, and DH got some waterproof chaps for hunting.
Like mames, I bought all my gifts for Christmas but made DH wrap them. I went to a Lia Sophia party and got 2 pairs of earrings and a bracelet. I also picked out my gloves. DH said he was going to surprise me with a gift but when he went to the store, they didn't have it. I have no idea what he is talking about, so we'll see if he comes home with a random gift sometime.
My mom got me a tea kettle, scarf, CD's and my favorite gift, a Clairsonic! I might return it though because she got me the pink one and I think it may be a little too pink for my taste.
MIL got me a book.
Ayden got way too many toys and some clothes. He just doesn't know what to play with. We got some video of him opening his gifts and I'll try to post them later.
We still have Christmas with DH's family on Friday so the wierd gifts will come next week but so far...
DH got me a kindle (for my birthday on the 21st), a new watch and new bathrobe and slippers for xmas (we had a $150 limit as we figured we should be responsible and save for the baby and we've been spending lots trying to get everything ready for her).
My parents got me all kinds of stuff, most of which I picked out on Black Friday -- a couple cookbooks, a Shark steam vac, 2 new scarves, a cardigan, an immersion blender, a 3-tier serving rack.
They also got us a few things for the baby -- a memory/scrapbook, a really cute picture frame, a diaper bag, a set of Rockabye Baby lullaby CDs (lullabys made from classic songs by the Beatles, Bob Marley, Queen, U2, etc. - love them), a snowsuit and a couple outfits.

Hmm, let's see. DH did well. He bought me some clothes (including a pair of leggings and a pair of tights). He's much better at fashion than I am! He also bought me some fun jewelry and a board game (Dirty Minds). His big gifts to me he bought me early: custom license plates and a craft organizer shelf, but we're waiting until we move next month to put it up.
His parents gave me a nice leather day planner with my name engraved on the front and an "interesting" sweater dress "for work."
This coming weekend is Christmas with my parents. I'm excited. I know what all they bought DH, but I have no clue what I'm getting!

My 101
From DH, I got a jewelry tree, book, mittens, and an Anthropologie giftcard. From my Mom, I got a towel warmer, cushion to hold your laptop on your lap, slippers, soaps/shampoos, and a toothbrush sanitizer (?). From my SIL (who picked my name for Christmas from DH's side of the family), I got a beautiful necklace with Alex's baby picture and name engraved.
Alex got a TON of stuff. I started listing it and realized I'd be writing a novel, so here's the condensed version: clothes, bibs, bath toys, a rocking horse, blocks, and games.
