Thoughts and Prayers Needed
I heard from my oldest, closest friend tonight. Really sad back story...her step-dad (who was pretty much her only father since she was about 2) died very suddenly in 2003. 6 months later her mom fell and hit her head. When doing an MRI to check for internal bleeding and such, they found a tumor. Her mom has been fighting brain cancer since 2004.
After a few surgeries and many rounds of radiation and chemo, it's quickly coming to an end. My friend is a nurse and is taking over medical decisions, and her brother (an accountant) has taken over financial decisions and power-of-attorney. Apparently mom can't anymore. They are in the process of selling the house.
I've been a wreck for the last hour. Her mom watched me grow up, and has been like a second mom to me since I was 12. I know not everyone is religious, but any good nestie thoughts would be really appreciated right now. Thanks ladies.
