Finally...I am home!

Ok, so the nice snow I talked about a few days back totally screwed up my travel plans!  Woke up Tuesday morning in MA to find out my flight was cancelled.  I was supposed to leave at 12pm Tuesday, but went to the airport and was told I was stuck until Saturday, arriving in Tampa around 6pm.

H was flying back on Wednesday (I needed to get home to get back to work, so I was leaving a day earlier than him), so we took him to the airport and had our fingers crossed I could try to fly standby.  Thankfully I had looked up some possible flight options on expedia, because the Continental agent told me, "Nope Saturday is the best we can do".  I told him that I found available flights on Thursday (not great flights, but flights) and showed him what I found on expedia.  Presto I got on a flight Thursday instead of waiting until Saturday.

So happy to be home and have a 3 day weekend.  Of course, I am probably going to end up working at least a day of it, but at least I am home!

Happy New Year!

  • Welcome home!  It's amazing what snow can do to air traffic - nevermind when you add holiday travelers in there.  Glad you're back safe and sound.

  • Kind of funny how they had nothing available for you until Saturday until you showed them other flights you could get before then. Glad you made it home safely and before the New Year.
