Weekend Plans-New Year's Edition

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Tonight: horseback ride, getting together with some friends for a little party at home

Friday: Bike ride, de-Christmasifying the house, staying in with a movie and take out for New Years

Sat: Depends if DH's friend gets back to him. If so, we may go to eat somewhere in town. If not, cleaning, cleaning, and more house cleaning, ride the stationary trainer

Sunday: bike ride, grocery shopping, recovering from the rest of the weekend.  Maybe going to a friend's house to drop by a gift basket of treats for all of their critters.

Re: Weekend Plans-New Year's Edition

  • tonight - make progress on getting holiday decor down, cook soup (spinach potato gouda in case you were wondering), hopefully some exercise

tomorrow - haircut and errands. later, we are going out for champagne and fondue plus live jazz. i'm pretty excited but i have my fingers crossed that neither of us gets sick as we are both not feeling so hot

saturday - i'd like to make a nice bfast -i'm currently deciding between a brunch strata or cinnamon buns or scones, maybe visit my grandmother, and visit with a friend that is in town

    sunday - groceries, etc.

  • tomorrow - work from home in the am, cook a big dinner and open remaining presents with DH in pm (we always save a few gifts for a "just us" christmas).

saturday - if the weather cooperates, hike kennesaw mountain and see some friends that live nearby.

sunday - work and clean up around the house before "break" is over.

sadlebred - we went to the Dali exhibit 2 weeks ago and it was great.  I think I would have gotten more out of it though if we had rented the audio tour, fwiw.

  • I love having time off and nothing I need to do! So far, I've taken a nap every day. :)

Friday - no plans until a late dinner at Ruth's Chris with friends. I can't wait!

Saturday - might spend some time at the mall while DH sees True Grit with friends. It's nice having two movie theaters so close to the mall (Town Center). DH gets to see movies I don't care for and can just drop me off to wander the mall.

    Sunday - no plans

  • Friday- work then to my best friends house for ribs and wine with her and her hubby, yes I WILL be the third wheel :/ did I mention missing DH?

Saturday- preparing for my interview like crazy/packing

    Sunday- Church then more preparing

AHHH I am so ready to move back and see my DH!!! **WWAAAHHHH**

  • tgirl--It turns out the High won't be open New Year's Day. Oh well! DH loves Dali; I'm "meh" on Dali. There are other painters that I prefer.

Bummer!  You'd think they would do a good business.  Dali is definitely weirder than I usually prefer - which is why I kind of wish I'd had the audio tour for some context.  DH was in heaven though - I finished the exhibit a full 30 min. before him.
