What are you doing for New Years Eve?

This is the first year in a long time we aren't going to a house party or hosting. We're going to a prayer thing at church until 8pm and then we're going to hang out and watch a movie. We've had a crazy month so it's kind of nice to ring in 2011 just us.

And you? What are you doing tonight?

Re: What are you doing for New Years Eve?

  • Neither myself or my husband are big New Years celebrators.  We've usually been to a lot of Christmas parties by now anyway (we've been to 7 in December actually), so we do our own thing on NYE.  We usually get a whole bunch of appetizers and eat them throughout the night with some champagne and watch a movie or a series.  I think it will be season 5 of Dexter tonight (weird, I know, but so addicting).
  • Nothing, my husband is working tonight. I'll probably be in bed reading a book if I'm still awake at midnight.

  • Most NYEs, DH and I host a small group of people at our place, but we didn't make the effort this year and haven't heard about anything from anyone else, so it'll be a quiet evening. I'm perfectly happy with it though. We got a new TV for Christmas and we bought some snacks and wine, so we'll spend the whole evening cuddled on the couch, no doubt. Feels like exactly what I want right now.
  • Like PPs DH and I are not huge NYE ppl as well. We are having some food and maybe watch a movie and some of the performances on TV tonight.

    We do this too!

We used to go out to dinner and a dance every year but since we had the baby (last year was our first NYE as parents) we stay home for a night in.  We've got a ton of food and will probably watch the Times Square ball drop on TV later.

  • We went to a friend's house and played board games.  Fun stuff.  Luckily the boys slept there, or we would have been home by 8 to put them to bed.

  • We went out and did some shopping in the evening then met some friends for dinner and drinks. They went out dancing and we went to a movie. Normally we would of gone dancing too but I am injured right now and I would of felt sorry for myself at the club and not being able to dance.
