Hi there! I hope you and Wade and your families are at peace and doing okay. I feel selfish/embarassed even asking this, but will you and Wade still be able to go to your brother's wedding? I've been keeping you all in my thoughts and I hope you are doing okay.

Thanks for asking, we're doing ok. We're relieved and a lot of the hurt has already subsided...of course we haven't gone throught the wake and funeral yet. At this point, I'm angry. I absolutely hate to say that, but we found out FIL passed up life insurance that was offered to him, and we had to scramble to come up with 10k for his funeral...and none of the kids could afford it right now. I'll get over it, but how could you do that to your kids? Other than that, we're just glad that he is no longer suffering.
And believe me, I felt selfish hoping and praying that we'd be able to go to Sean's wedding! Wade told me yesterday that he's coming with me, and that made me so happy. I know it is going to mean the world to my brother and SIL to have us both there. And after everything we've had going on these last few months, we need to get away.
That's great that you were able to work out a solution together and will still be able to be there for your brother's wedding. (I can't wait to see picture btw!). After this past week, you and Wade need a getaway.
I can't believe Wade's family was stuck in that situation for the funeral. I just added "double check life insurance" to my to-do list. I hope everything goes well at the funeral. Is Wade giving a eulogy?
