How do you not walk???

Thursday: 3 hour trail ride with lots of galloping and jumping. The trails at Kennesaw Mountain are so much fun!

Today: 50 mile bike ride

owwww!!!!

image Me and Grayson. I'd never ridden him. He was fun! I learned today from one of the kids that he LOVES water. That would explain why he tried to drop and roll in the creek. Thankfully, a few squeezes and a kick got him up before I got TOO wet.

Re: *emm*

  • How do I not walk? LOL, I'm not sure, but I'm guessing you are referencing the ohmigawd I'm going to die soreness from riding after a brief time off.

Well....stretch stretch stretch stretch stretch! Oh and salt baths help too! Lot's o' water!

Don't you miss it?! I don't know how you have gone so long w/o riding (but then again, I'd rather live in a trailer and have an awesome AO horse ... so I have serious horse brain!)

We'll def have to catch a hunt or hunter pace when I get back! cute boy you have there! Here's my fav old boy:

  • Eeekk! Yes, I should have said something like how to you walk with OMG you are so sore from riding!!

I am going to start lessons again this week. I'll probably try to squeeze in 3 in Jan.--two with the adult group and one with the advanced teenagers (aka I get to jump higher and ride one of the "big" horses). I have to take 2 weeks off after that for minor (very minor) surgery and will ride through the end of March. I want to do a few hunter paces in the spring.

If anything, we could ride in the Tally-Ho wagon when my trainer takes the kids to a hunt. That would be fun (and free)! The hunt is only about an hour south of Atlanta.

Oh, I put some more photos on FB from the trail ride.  The horse in your photo is gorgeous! You should see my trainer's personal mount...gorgeous dark bay warmblood-something-or-other with a huge blaze. His nickname is "Gorgeous;" barn name Dante.
