Re: Happy New Years

  • We are RELAXING just the two of us at home and I couldn't be happier!

  • Happy New Year everyone!  We spent new years eve traveling from Germany to Paris.  We stopped in the Champagne region of France, sipped on and purchased some champagne.  Walked around Paris eating eclairs and croissants for lunch... and then we had a traditional French cuisine for dinner sitting in the heart of Paris at midnight.  Day two of our trip (today) has been just as eventful.... I love this city!

What's funny is the book I received from MiniWheats for my Nestie Exchange is about Napoleon Bonaparte's wife Josephine so I have been reading about French history, especially in Paris, and now I am here seeing this city.  Both the book and this trip have been incredibly interesting.  MH and I want to learn more about French history, specifically the French Revolution.

  • Oh, that sounds like so much fun! We went out to a friend's house for a party. I drank far too much champagne and spent NY day feeling hungover.
  • My NYE was very boring.  It is weird not toasting the New Year with a glass of Champagne!  We decided to stay home and relax as I have been really, really sick with morning sickness and couldn't stand the thought of being out and about.

Cristin, that is so cool that you are in Paris.  I am tres jealous! I love learning about the French Revolution, it is such an amazing time in history.  Hope you have a blast and go visit Malmaison if you can!
