***Tara*** or anyone else who has Zumba

I'm almost certain you are the one that got Zumba, but the search feature sucks here and I can't be for certain.

How do you like it?  I hate to rent it if I'm going to buy it, because it's so expensive to rent!

Pros, cons?

Re: ***Tara*** or anyone else who has Zumba

  • Hey!  Yeah I got it for Christmas Big Smile.  I like it! Its easy for me because I take the classes at my gym, so I know most of the steps already. I only played it once so far, but so far so good. I dont know what system you have, but with the Wii, you need the belt to hold the remote so it can measure your hip action. It doesnt seem like its really tracking your movements/steps as much as its tracking how much you're shaking your booty. The only con I can think of right now is that if you aren't familiar with the steps, you may get lost.   The "instructor" doesnt tell you which steps to do.. it motions (ie: if you are going to so a side steo to the right, she point to the right instead of saying "do crossovers to the right"). But for the most part thats how classes work, except our instructor shows us what we're doing wuick before the song starts.   Use the tutorials in the beginning to learn what to do. It helps. But I found the game kind of hard to navigate in the beginning.  Hoep this helped :)

  • Thanks!  I read a review, but then I realized it was a family site and they were reviewing it for kids and they said it was a horrible game, too hard to follow and too much for kids to deal with....uh yea, it's not really a kid targeted game, I wouldn't think!

Thanks, I think I'm going to go buy it today!

  • Look on Amazon. The reviews there were helpful.  But a few of my friends got it too and everyone loves it. Definitely great on Wii. I dont think its so good on other systems.
