Re: Happy New Year, Mon!

  • Not really hung over, just tired. Apparently I can't hang til 2 am anymore without sleeping until almost noon the next day.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • My sickness is enabling a Larry Sanders Show marathon today.  Thank you, IFC, greatest cable channel on earth, after AMC.

  • I spent NYE watching Toy Story 3 with the kids, then playing cards and games with my mom and Lorne. I drank poinsettias, but not enough to get a hangover.

Will and his cousin are currently arguing over blocks and being ridiculous. I'll miss my mom, but I'm tired of the constant kid bickering and I'm kind of glad they're going home.

  • Happy New Year!

The best thing about never drinking is never having a hangover. I still feel kinda like asss though. I'm too much of an old wimp to stay up late these days.

Last night we hung out with another couple who are close friends. Hannah and I cooked a crazy awesome supper, then we hung out and played "Things in  Box" which is really hilarious and fun and I highly recommend playing it.

Around 10:30 we all went to another friend's house for some food and more games and a generally chill time. It was superb.

  • I've been sick all weekend and still stuck with a ton of family obligations that could not be ignored. I was so tired I passed out at 10:00 last night. Today, I collapsed on the couch as soon as we got home and watched the fabulousness that was the Gator Bowl. Oh how I long for the day when I can breathe like a normal human being again.

  • i didn't drink more than a couple sips of champagne last night so i didn't have a hangover of any kind. i did however fall asleep between the hours of 11:30 and 2:00 am, so i completely missed the new year.

today we took it REALLY easy, went out for lunch around 3 pm, and are now watching a movie.

  • We went to a friend's party in Chicago.  It was a blast.  Finger mustaches and a dance line.  Then back to our awesome hotel suite at about 3:00am.  I was hurting the next day but it was worth it.  New Years is usually a big disappointment, so I'm pretty happy.

  • We went to our neighbor's friends party, and it was a weird mix of people.  You had a lot of people our age (some with kids, some without), good food and a well stocked bar.  Then you also had the host of the party in his "man cave" (hate that term) with an ice luge and a beer pong table (one that looks like a football field and has cup holders), with all of his single friends and their 23 y.o dates for the evening who looked like hookers.  This guy is 38, has 2 kids and has zero maturity.

We ended up leaving at 11 to come home to drink champagne and play board games with our neighbor who was also appalled by some of the behavior.

  • Happy New Year, moo!
