Healthy vibes needed!

I've been sick with a cold for over a week. It wasn't very bad, and I thought I was getting better. But today I'm all congested, my throat is scratchy/sore, and my ears are clicking when I swallow.  I have 3 internship interviews next week, and I don't want to be sick for them!  Please send me healthy vibes so I will be better by Tuesday! Thanks, ladies!!

I know you're a grown-up, but who can resist sharing unsolicited info? (not me.) Drink LOTS of water - flush that nasty bug out of your system, & don't be afraid to use cold meds. I was always kinda "anti-cold medicine" because some people say "they don't get rid of the cold, they just mask the symptoms." but you know what? They make you feel human again! lol.

    Good luck with your interviews!

  • Healthy vibes.  Hope you feel better soon!

Sarah - what cold meds do you recommend?  I always feel like the ones I take make my mouth dry, I get sleepy or just still feel yucky.  I have yet to find one that works for me.

  • That's exactly what happened to me. Got one that wasn't bad and before it went away, I was socked with another one. I'm sorry to say mine has yet to leave completely. I will send you healthy vibes that you get over it a lot sooner then me!
  • ::healthy vibes:: headed your way!  Start taking some cold-eeze.  They don't taste good but have always helped with my cold symptoms.

  • Thanks for the vibes, ladies! I am pretty miserable today but I'm doing my best to get lots of rest, water, healthy food, etc! Laura, I've never tried Cold-eeze but maybe I'll see if Matthew can go pick some up today.

I had good luck with the Tylenol version of DayQuil & NyQuil (for descriptive purposes). I was super bummer the last time I had a cold and went to get some, only to realize that Tylenol still isn't back on shelves from the recall?? Or at least it wasn't at my local Target. Sad face. So I tried the Target brand of the same thing (Up & Up) and thought they were ok. I liked their daytime formula, but the nighttime one made me feel really out of it & I hate that feeling. I've also use DayQuil & NyQuil in the past and I don't remember having any issues with those. I just loved the Tylenol kind because the daytime meds just made me feel functional, with a little dry-mouth though, & their nighttime meds didn't make me feel all high and loosy-goosy.

Also, I only use the gel-cap versions. I hate the liquids, but that's purely a taste issue & I'm a sissy.
