The fortune cookie lied. TTC vent.

As planned, I tested yesterday (12 DPO - average LP is 13-14) with an IC. I came back to find the faintest of faint lines.So, I dipped another one and got the same very faint line. I still was in disbelief and decided that I would wait and test again in the morning in hopes that it would be a little more visible. Of course, this had my hopes up ALL day. I didn't tell DH because 1.) I wanted to be sure and 2.) I wanted to think of some neat New Years Day way of telling him (I'm lame, yes.)To top it all, we ordered Chinese take out for dinner (exciting NYE, right?) and DH's chinese cookie says "Your partner will share some very exciting news with you tomorrow." I mean, it's a fortune cookie, and half of the time those fortunes don't even make the slightest bit of sense, but it was still fun. I even saved it and thought "what a neat story to share - we got this fortune the day before I get to tell DH that we're KU!" Tested this morning. Nothing. Stark white. Waited 5 hours with minimal to drink. Same story. On five tests.I saved the ones from yesterday morning and now that I'm looking at them, the lines that came up are there... but thinner than the control. They do have a bit of color though. What are the odds that I would get to evaps back to back?My temps took a nose dive this morning, too, and I'm all kinds of crampy today. Bring on the chocolate. OK, just needed to vent. This is the first month I've taken it so hard. Had a brief breakdown earlier. If you made it this far, thanks for "listening"

Well, it's not over until Aunt Flo shows. And my pregnancy cramps felt identical to period cramps. I'll keep sending vibes until AF shows! And if she does, hopefully next month will be your guys' month!

This for me too.

Also, I would pick up a digital test. Granted, no test is 100% accurate but I would feel better about a digital test than a faint disappearing/reappearing pink line.

ditto the other girls. Had I not been charting and waiting (rather impatiently) to test, I would have passed off my cramps and other feelings as just my period waiting to show its ugly face. My ICs gave faint lines too. Store bought tests worked way better (I had +/- ones in both pink and blue dyes. Never took a digi).

Well I've heard a line is a line, but be careful like pooks that you're not seeing evaporation positives after 10 minutes or so.

ITA, but I don't know what an IC is. Is it different?

Unforch, AF showed her ugly self this afternoon. Booo.

Luckily, the message at church this morning really, really hit home talking about circumstances and such. I'm totally OK now (as opposed to last nights massive break down) and have accepted that it just wasn't our month.... and now, we're just one month closer to our BFP.

Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it and am so thankful for this group!!

Yea, I looked at both of them at the 5 minute mark (according to instructions) and the lines were there. Both of those test were with the same FMU, but everything I took after was a BFN.

It was either a fluke or a (very slightly) possible CP?? Not sure. Guess I just have to let it be.

I am glad you feel better now!!! I really only meant for the part where you said you had saved them, but now I have to go back and read because maybe I read incorrectly.

Either way I'm glad you are doing better than yesterday.
