  • I didn't know this. Very interesting.?The "Curse of Tippecanoe" dates to the 1811 Battle of Tippecanoe, where future President William Henry Harrison defeated Indian chief Tecumseh's forces. Tecumseh reportedly cursed Harrison and the presidency.Supposedly, presidents elected in years evenly divisible by 20 will die in office under the curse.Harrison (elected 1840), Lincoln (1860), Garfield (1880), McKinley (1900), Harding (1920), Roosevelt (1940), and Kennedy (1960) died in office.Reagan (1980) survived a 1981 assassination attempt, apparently ending the curse.Roosevelt died in '45, But still. ?

  • I learned that golf shoes ruined the original oval office floor... and that for like 50 years the oval office had LINOLEUM. ick.

    Thanks for sharing!!!!

  • I'm at governor.  I'll have to pick it up again.

Although, my first mistake was rather amusing.  The question was, 'Which US president was known for his fondness of sax?"  But I read 'sax' as 'sex' and chose JFK.  The funny thing is, I considered Bill Clinton with the original question but figured JFK was even more notorious for his affairs.

    Whoops!
