Nestie Night / Best of 2010
Hey, isn't tonight Nestie Night? Let's lighten things up a little! What were your best/funniest/most memorable moments of 2010 (other than your wedding, of course).
Some of my top contendors:
Best -
Moving in with my husband, and creating our home together.
Funniest -
Almost running into someone at Bass Pro, saying, "Excuse me" then realizing it was a mannequin.
Most Memorable -
Going to my friend's destination wedding in Santa Barbara, where she
put everyone up in their own cottage and they had the lead singer of a
well-known band sing at the reception.
Re: Nestie Night / Best of 2010
Best not wedding related: being able to bring my old dog into our new home instead of having him living with my parents (we weren't able to have him in an apartment because he isn't very people friendly)
Funniest: Hanging out with my sister's family this weekend and having my 5 yr old nephew say that he could grow up to be "Shaggy" from Scooby Doo. (His parents are big modern hippies so this is highly probable and hilarious.) Plus I tend not to remember funny things past a week.
Most Memorable: Working with my family on all the home improvements, both on our new house and my parent's house where we had the wedding.
Best - Finding our perfect dog in June
(excluding the whole getting married thing)
Funniest -The priest forgetting DH's first name in the introductions at our wedding "The wedding of Emily and......." It's hilarious because we've known him personally for over 2 years. He just had a bad senor moment! The whole place was roaring. Great way to start a big Catholic ceremony.
Most Memorable - Buying our first home together and fixing it up. It's been awesome.Best: Finally receiving the settlement from my car accident that occured in 2007 and being able to pay off all of our credit card debit and start a nice sized savings account. We are finally able to start saving and that is the best feeling in the world!
Funniest: Most of them probably involve my 4 year old nephew, he says the funniest stuff and is always coming up with something that makes me laugh. Before Christmas he colored on a bunch of computer paper and insisted that I put them in the mailbox for "Uncle Lance," then I forgot to have Lance check the mail before we went out of town, hope the mailman liked my newphews drawings.
Most Memorable: I think that 2010 was the best year so far, I am only 25 but hey. Waking up next to my husband every day is awesome. Coming home to someone who loves and truely appreciates everything I do. I am pretty sure I am the luckiest girl in the world!
