I don't talk about it on here at all but after I started the flower business I decided to do event planning as well. I've always been into it and love it. I just went public with the business and officially launched about a week ago. I put one ad up on my local kijiji two days ago and just booked my first wedding! I'm a little nervous since I'm not certified yet, but it's not required to have a certificate. I'm nervous that I'll be nervous when I meet this couple. Does that make sense? I'm just so excited I could pee right now.
Thanks for letting me share.
Happy New Year!

Re: Super excited!
This is exciting! I wish you the best in your endeavors. Post some pics once you do them.
ETA: Oops I misread. I thought you were starting the flower biz. Still post pics
I am sure you will do great!
I have millions of pics already, I'm sure it would take forever to post them all. I have a page on FB with all of them (well, most of them). Here. I don't have any of the events yet since I haven't done any besides helping with my parents anniversary and a few friends' weddings. I have my photographer coming over again on Tuesday to shoot some more of the bouquets.
Thanks.
I figured I would try to ease my nervousness a little by getting myself prepared so I purchased an ebook from a wedding planner offering advice and tips for the first meeting with clients. There are like 250 pages of all sorts of tips and tricks to go through. Not all of it is "first meeting" stuff, there are tips for blogging and networking and everything. I am pretty confident that I'll be ok.
