Hi, lovely ladies! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I figured a little (or big) update was in order. I am still feeling great and we are getting SO excited to meet Baby D! (Aka Eli Rich
) Our crib was delivered last week, and we are waiting on the changing table/dresser to be delivered this week. My in-laws are coming down this weekend and while Justin and his dad put the furniture together, his mom and I are going to go out and buy the last of the furniture that we need! I should have some nursery pictures for you soon!
Around 16 weeks, my doctor discovered I have two anti-bodies in my blood (the names escape me at the moment). They aren?t harmful to me, but can be concerning to a woman who is pregnant. (They can cause pre-e , miscarriages in all trimesters, and other scary things. They can also do nothing and not be an issue at all!) Normally, the doctor would look at the woman?s prior pregnancies to determine the plan of action to keep the baby safe, but since I haven?t HAD any prior pregnancies, my doctor (as well as the rheumatologist I was referred to) wants to aggressively monitor me starting at 30 weeks to ensure everything is still okay. Starting at 30 weeks (next week), instead of going once or twice a month, I will be going twice a week. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I will have NSTs in L&D, and on just Fridays I will also have an u/s and an appointment with my doctor. So needless to say, these next several weeks will be extremely busy! Especially since I am in my busy season at work, ugh. Although my boss was less than understanding about all the work I will be missing, she has come around and we have worked out a pretty good schedule to get all the work done around my appointments. Now I just need to continue prepping for a (possible) early maternity leave and hope that everything continues to look good for Eli and I.
I had a growth u/s last week and everything looks excellent! Eli and I are right on track, fluid looks good, etc , etc. I passed my glucose test and everything else is looking good. (My doctor even decided she didn?t need to see me next week because everything looks great.) And since you have made it through the longest post ever, I?ll leave you with my 27 week bump picture (I haven?t uploaded my 28 picture yet ? oops!)

Re: Baby D Update
Aw, bump! Hi, Eli! ::waves::
I hope the pregnancy continues as well as it has been so far.
Oh my goodness Amber, that sounds a little scary but it sounds like you are handling it very well.
I'll be praying for a healthy pregnancy for you and Eli.
1. You are so cute.

Are your appointments for the same time every week? What time can I expect you to be on G-Chat so I don't worry about you and Eli? I have to say again how happy I am that your DR is so pro-active monitorying you this way. I know everything will be fine.
And... I think you look absolutly adorable!
First things first...you are ADORABLE!
Also, it sounds like you have a great doctor who is being really proactive in monitoring the antibodies and whatnot. I'm sure everything will be just fine. I can't wait to "meet" Eli!
You are adorable and thank you for the update and the bump picture!
I'll be keeping you and Eli in my prayers, please keep us updated!
