Braden is way too trendy and popular right now. I think it's going to be really dated in the coming years/decades.

Brody reminds me of a surfer and not someone to take too seriously.....yet super attractive.

I'd go with Asher.

I would also go with Asher. It was top on our boys' list for several months until an acquaintance named her son Asher. DH was worried it's on the rise and he either wants a very traditional name that we KNOW a lot of people are named that (like James), or a somewhat unique name that probably won't end up on the top 3 list (like Seth). Plus, our middle name for a boy is Alan, and Asher Allen is an NFL player.

All of those names are way too trendy for my taste. Saying Brock and Brody repetitively could be a tongue twister - if I had to choose, I'd go with Asher.

I like Asher and Brody, but the brothers Brock and Brody is a bit much. Actually, I kind of like Braden even though I think -aden names are out of control these days. They all three fit well with James.

Interesting. Asher is acutally our least favorite of the 3. I like Braden the most. I know Brody and Braden are super popular right now but they have been on our name list for 3 years now. It kind of sucks but it's not the end of the world to me. Brody is currently ranked #77 and projected to rise, Braden is #185 and is on it's way down, and Asher #165 and climbing.

i'd go with braden, brock and braden sounds good.

not a fan of asher myself...

All the names that we were considered were from that generation. William Henry is named after our grandfathers, and I also loved old fashioned girls names such as Evelyn.

I like Brody, but not with Brock. Reminds me of Brody Jenner. Not a bad thing, I have a slight crush on him.

Braden James sounds nice.

Asher is NMS.

I really like the more classic names also, Stephanie.

As far as the actual names themselves, I like Brody the best, then Asher, then Braden. They all sound good with James and your last name. Brock and Brody is a little matchy matchy, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that and I don't think it sounds bad or is hard to say.

Braden James sounds really nice with your last name. Plus, H and I just had lunch with one of his old friends and his son's name was Braden.... so I think that's a sign Wink

I also really like Asher but could see how others would view it as pretentious.
