BG 3.0 VS 4.0

I've had a few problems with the velcro strip along the front of the diaper ripping apart and they said they'd replace my diapers and exchange them for 4.0's. I was just wondering if everyone who has the 4.0's like the snaps better. I hate to replace them and hate the new ones. Caroline is such a wiggle worm I see the snaps being a pain but she has also discovered she can pull on the velcro and undo her diapers (hence the policy that she must wear complete pj's i the rib by herself)

I waited till after the holidays to return them, just wanted to see what others thought before I did. TIA!

Re: BG 3.0 VS 4.0

  • I prefer the snaps actually. They aren't as bad as you think. They look new still compared to velcro. Try them out, if you hate them, I have three velcro i'll trade you, grasshopper, twilight, blossom. Bought them in early october so they are pretty new

  • I have one 4.0 with snaps. We don't like it very much, but I don't know if it just because we are used to the velcro with our 3.0s. There isn't anything wrong with it, but we find it hard to get him still long enough to get it on, etc.

  • I had some other diapers with snaps, and prefer the velcro.  I think it's just easier and quicker to do the velcro, plus you get a nice snug fit.  But it is nice to not have to worry about them wearing out or sticking to things with the snaps.

  • I've never tried 4.0's. But our blueberries are snaps and I like them just fine. We have always used them so I guess I am just used to them. I may actually try to get a few 4.0's for the next baby. I'll be interested to hear more :)

  • We have some FB and Flips with snaps - it is a little bit harder to get them snapped when you have a little one that loves to flip over as soon as you get him on down to change him. We also use some gDiapers with the velcro - which velcro behind him - which we like since he can't reach them. We have only been using them for about 5 months, but I am always worried they will stop sticking eventually. I feel like the snaps will hold up better with time - especially since we are planning to use them when we have another LO in a couple of years or so.

  • Our Flips have snaps and I love them, I don't find it any harder to snap than it was to velcro sposies... the snaps have held up well to being used 24/7 by two toddlers who like to squirm during changes and they haven't been able to get them undone while alone in their cribs!

  • I like the snaps. Seth likes the velcro because it is easier. I hate that the velcro curls and catches on the inserts in the laundry if you don't secure them before going in.
  • Snaps is my vote. I've never had a load that didn't have a laundry chain with velcro...even when using the laundry tabs.  The snap diapers still look brand new.  Velcro ones not so much.  And we've had a couple times where the velcro rubbed on Adrian's tummy, leaving some red.

  • I have no experience with the snaps, but just wanted to say that while the velcro on our 3.0s looks worn, it still holds everything together and we have been using them for a little under two years at this point.
