Well I didn't paint or stain it yet, but I'm going to try a darker stain on it tonight and see how I feel about it.
I'm still unsure about it, but oh well...
I get indecisive too! I did like that teal color in your inspiration picture, regardless I think you need a darker color since there's a whole lot of white in your kitchen.
My dad helped me get the majority of the headboard built on Saturday (I went about it a bit differently - doing a "border" of sorts that I will inlay foam into). Hopefully I'll get the rest done soon - or at least before we move

Oh! So exciting, I hope you took lots of pictures of the bed and building process!
I agree the kitchen has a ton of white, I'm thinking a darker stain will be OK, plus I want to eventually switch out the curtains for something fun and colorful.
