  • According to the article, the couple wanted it to happen that way. I'm not sure that I would have made the same decision but to each their own.

  • A similar story is in the news every year at this time of year.

As a twin, I think it's cool. . .but only if they also choose to celebrate the twins' birthdays on different days.  Maybe my sister and I were weird twins, but we did everything we possibly could to be different from each other.

In general, I think Dec 31 and Jan 1 would be sucky days to have birthdays on.  Doesn't somebody here have one of those birthdays?  Whitney?  I'm not sure.

Also in general, I don't really like the idea of choosing your child's birthday (which this family did. . .yes, they tend to induce twins earlier than their due date, but her due date was Jan 28.  No reason given in the article for why they medically should have been born on the date they were).

Semi-related, recently I have been thinking that a leap day would be a fun birthday to have.

Really? I think it would be horrible I wouldn't want to have a child born on Feb 29th. I would feel terrible that he/she only got to celebrate his/her birthday on his/her actual birthday once every five years.

Yep, I was a New Years baby and hate it. I guess as I get older I stop caring as much but it is still pretty awful.

    I heart Ben!!

  • I think it would be cool to if it just happened that way and wasn't done on purpose.
