So the story behind how I lost my job last July is kind of long - but to summarize: I got a "promotion", I hired and trained my replacement, the new position turned out to be nothing like they promised me it would be, I hated my new boss (who I did not know would be my boss when I took the job) and I was "laid off" (basically fired nicely). I was their golden child for over 2 years and suddenly I was treated like poo on the bottom of their shoe...
So today I found out that the girl I trained to take my old job came in over Christmas break, cleaned out her desk, left her key, and never came back!!! They were all sitting around today wondering why she was late..... then they figured it out.
...6 people have quit since July. There is no one left to take over her job. (She was the Office Manager and Executive Assistant, as was I before I was "promoted" to Events Manager and then canned). No one else knows how to pay the bills, deal with the budget, or take care of the Executive Director.
HA!
Had they not treated me like poo I would be there to pick up the pieces, but I'm gone too and they are S C R E W E D!
HA HA HA!
Thank you Karma!

Re: Karma got revenge for me!
Oh, AND...
I started my new gig with Gaylord Entertainment today. It's only for 4 to 6 months but the odds are good I can get a permanent gig once this contract is up. I was able to go home for lunch! Wonderful!! Job is great so far, and commute is fabulous! Yay!

How is the new job working out?
Opps I posted before I read this.
That's great! Congrats on all your success!
Lol I love karma... I wondered what your FB status was about lol. Serves them right!!!
And yay for going home for lunch, that's half the reason I love my job so much lol.
So glad your first day went well. I also was wondering what your FB status was all about. Don't you love it when that happens, nothing better than the, "I TOLD YOU SOOOOO!" moment.
That is awesome I love it when karma does that!
Makes the suffering all worth it. haha.
That's awesome! I love it when karma takes care of things like that for me. I had a really bad work situation a few years ago, and every single person who screwed me over there was fired within 2 years. I cackle with glee every time I think about it, even now.
Good luck with the new job!
