So... we moved into our house mid-November. December 15th we got new windows in our house and seconds after I got home, someone hit my car. The window lady and I saw it happen. I played phone tag a few times with this guy, and really, I didn't want to go throuh insurance for a fender bender, I was trying to give my new neighbor a break. He scratched and dented the rear bumber, and it will cost $5-600 to repair. I got three estimates on my lunch hour the next day. Called and played phone tag with him a couple of times. Then it was the holidays... and I didn't want to deal with it.
I just called him- and he acted like I was inconveniencing him! He's the one who hit my car! I said it would be $5-600 and he first asked what I wanted him to do about it, and then said he couldn't pay it this month. I said we need it done soon since it scraped metal and I don't want it to rust. He said "I don't remember it being that bad". I said, "it's not- it's the labor. They have to remove a panel, match the paint, buff it, and paint it. It's a 2-3 day job." Seriously, Dude! I was trying to be nice by not driving up your insurance costs!! AND.. he hit my car (Ford Focus) with a shiny new BMW!!
