I have my MRI today, and I will get an IV and I'm freaking out....I am the hugest needle wuss. The last time the doc took blood the office staff literally had to hold me down bc I was shaking so badly.

  • Let us know how it goes.  I'm sure you'll be fine.

Make it your new year's resolution to be more brave with needles.

You can tell the nurse my joke, maybe it'll help.

  • I'm sorry you have to go through that today :( You're not a baby though, a lot of people have that problem. GL :)

haha, thanks....whenever I get blood taken the nurse laughs at me and asks what I'm going to do when I have kids. My (half joking) answer is that they can knock me out and wake me up when the baby is here. Ugh...soooo dreading this.

  • Good luck!  I totally understand your fear, although I am MUCH better since I had a baby.  I remember when I went to my first OB appointment when I found out I was pregnant with Macy.  They had to draw blood and I ended up puking afterward.  Good thing I drank a can of V8 before my appointment.  Ewww.

But let us know how it goes!

  • I was the same way up until I got pregnant. You kind of get used to getting poked. I still have to turn my head and warn the person sticking me that I am deathly afraid of it, I used to start hyperventilating and crying like a baby. There is one lady at Quest Diagnostics that is AMAZING and has me breathe in when she pokes me.... I never feel a thing. Everything will be okay :) Good luck.

  • I can't stand needles either. But the MRI totally freaks me out. My Dr. wanted me to get one and I completely freaked out. I could not do it. I was already admitted in the hospital and I left. I'm a huge baby!
