HIMYM (spoilers)
Did anyone watch it last night? All the fertility stuff was pisssing me off and I was thinking how silly the entire episode was. And then just as I was scoffing, the ending happened and of course I teared up right away. That was SO sad! I usually watch tv alone, but H happened to be watching it with me. I had to say to him "quick, make me laugh so that I stop crying about what just happened." I hate crying in front of people during tv or movies :P
Just wondering what anyone else thought!

Someone mentioned the countdown on FB, so since I watched it later, I did notice. I didn't see the ending coming either, it was very sad. I would definitely catch it if you can.
I do wonder though, is it because Robin now has a job at a "real" new station that she suddenly has glasses?
I have no idea what that means, so I obviously didn't watch it..but i'm intrigued. what show?

On a different note, I dvr'd Undercover Boss & tried watching that yesterday. Because of the football games, the timing was off & it didn't record the end of the show. Ugh. I was so mad.

Nothing was more oversimplified than the Friends infertility episode(s). You have to expect some glossing over the finer details/reality when the point of the show is to get a laugh.
I've been on this Friends kick lately and I've been watching a ton of episodes. You're right, they definitely gloss over a lot of the IF stuff that Monica and Chandler deal with, but at the same time, they could have done a much worse job. I liked the scene where Chandler gets the call with the bad news and he relays it to Monica. The scene is really sad and they actually did a good job with it. But yeah, some of what they showed was so dumb, like "interviewing" sperm donors and how quickly the adoption happened. Blah. HIMYM was really annoying me since I'm pretty sure Lilly said they've only been trying for 4 months. Cry me a river!
