At the beginning of the school year, the director at the dance school announced that we would be getting a student retention bonus this year.
It basically works like this:
During September, October & November if no students drop out of my class, I would get a $50 bonus. For each kid that drops, it's minus $5.
Well, it's now January & I haven't seen my bonus. I teach 9 classes & had very few students drop. That's a good chunk of cash.
At the end of November, early December I was on vacation. The week after that, the director was on vacation. The week she came back, she gave me a big Christmas bonus.
Now I feel ungrateful asking her about the other bonus even though it was already promised to us.
Would you speak up now or wait a little longer?
Re: ? about a bonus
Well, if it were promised to you, then I would ask. When they told you about it, did the say when you would receive the bonus? I mean, I would think it would be in December if they were looking at what the kids did through November. Do you guys have e-mail? Maybe you could e-mail her? For me that makes things easier to say. GL!!
