Early HTT

I think Larissa posted something a few months back about this maybe?  Here is an update:

Thoughts?!? Did we talk about this yet?

Re: Early HTT

  • Wasn't me!  But this has now completely grossed out both me & Eric.  And he's angry that she's going to die and leave her kids motherless.
  • "and a "salad" of marshmallow, cream cheese, whipped cream and cookies."

DH's family calls that a salad, too. I don't get it. That's dessert. Salad to me is either a vegetable salad or pasta salad. Even fruit salad says "dessert" to me.

Anyway, gross. Not only her desire to be the largest woman alive, but also the news coverage of it. What won't people do to be famous?

  • And it's (no pun intended) really feeding into her issues.  The woman is one big mess of eating disorders and obviously needy for attention, whether positive or negative.  She needs the attention from the men who pay to see her eat, from the media, and from even the people who read the articles and are disgusted.

I'm actually also pissed off at the fetishists who are paying to see her eat online so she can buy more food.  I get that they're into that, and I'm generally pretty laid back about people's preferences, but that's only if it's not hurting anyone.  And this is hurting her.  And by extension, it's hurting her kids; it has to be.  What does this do to their self-image?  What does it do to their childhoods and what will it do to their teen years?  And when she dies early and leaves them without a mother?  And are these people with this fetish thinking about this?  They don't care.

  • I remember reading about this sometime last year [still weird to think 2010 was last year]...

I feel the same way as you ladies. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of...ugh.

ITA. I'm really curious to see what happens to her kids. Are they over weight? How old are they? What do they think about their Mom doing this? Is her Husband one of these fetishists? Eww. The whole thing makes me want to vomit.

  • IMO people like this should be immediately dropped from their health insurance company.

  • I agree, Alyssa. And Blair, I saw a photo in one of the stories of her with her daughter. The daughter's a cute, skinny little kid.
  • I'm 100% with Alyssa, but there are a lot of people who would disagree that willfully harmful habits should be considered when health insurance co. choose who to cover...

I'm wondering about the husband as well. For the family's sake, I hope she's covered by life insurance when she dies.

One of the articles said her husband is 150 lbs.
  • this is f ucking foul.

how long before her children are taken away because she can't take care of herself, much less anyone else.

  • Seriously.  She can't even walk 22 feet without having to rest.  What if one of her kids needs her to run to them or help them with something?
  • I have no words, except disgusting and shame on her! UGH! I agree with Alyssa about the insurance.
