DH: "You'd be so proud of me! I was super helpful today! I rotated the tires."
Me (surprised): "Oh, with Adrian?"
DH: "No, I left him in the house."
Me (with very wide eyes and in disbelief): "What? All alone?"
DH: "Well, I checked on him after each tire."
Me (taking a deep breath): "And he was happy all that time?"
DH: "Well, no. He was quite mad at the end. But he needs to learn how to wait, right?"
Me (big sigh): "I don't think you need to worry about being helpful any longer."

When Helen was a year old (and it was summer) DH wanted to do some yardwork so he took DD outside and put her in the bed of his pickup truck to keep her contained. LOL!
Aw buddy, not the best plan! Maybe he was trying to get out of being helpful with future tasks???

That's not so bad. A few minutes of crying won't hurt him. I know you wouldn't have done it that way, but that's why babies have two parents -- so they get used to different kinds of people! I remind myself of that from time to time when DH does something I wouldn't have done but ultimately it's not harmful to DD.
