early spring cleaning/fav wedding gift
anyone else doing the same? mostly because it's ''out with the old, in with the new'' with wedding gifts, but also it's because ''wedding's over, now i've got time to clean''.
i'd have to say my favorite wedding gift is a vacuum. it wasn't super expensive, but it's replacing our bohemoth, turn-on-by-pulling-on-a-chain, from the 60's but still works vacuum. it's also one of the bagless ones. AWESOME!
i also really like the cloth napkins we got from our registry. we're using the cocktail-sized ones as our everyday napkins, instead of paper napkins, to try and cut down on our waste. now if someone could recommend a good environmentally friendly laundry detergent?

Re: early spring cleaning/fav wedding gift
Those all sound awesome
We received a really good scanpan frying pan - that's a treat to cook in! We didn't have a registry and didn't receive many gifts (we requested for people coming to our wedding not to get gifts for us) so that would have to be our fave.
I love quality cookware!
Where we met - Mount Isa
a small mining town in the Australian Outback. Neither of us are from there but we both moved there in the second last year of highschool. He was moved next to me in maths class to stop him talking. It didn't work.
We love our Keurig! I'm pretty sure we're drinking way more coffee now!
I'm doing some major cleaning and "purging" because we are moving. I don't want our house to be full and junky right away!
my read shelf:
This is good! When we moved into our house, H brought all his junk, while I got rid of most of mine. Know what? All his junk is still in boxes stacked in the office. That was three years ago!!
Our fav gift is the Cuisinart Keurig. I love me some coffee!!! yum! I also found that coffeewhiz.com website offers awesome and cheaper k-cups to refill it each day.
We are so into cleaning the townhouse now. Number one, we are trying to get it on the market so a lot of out with the old and in with the new. Then we have to figure out how to not make it look cluttered.
Fun!

We (read: I) totally did the purging thing, too. In the weeks before the wedding our dining room was so full of crap it was unusable. I finally got everything cleaned, and all of our wedding gifts are washed and put away, and the stuff that the wedding gifts replaced has been donated to Goodwill.
Favorite wedding gift for me is our stainless steel pots and pans set. Jon loves the SodaStream *the same thing Laviebohemie mentioned* My grandma is getting us our Henckel's knife set for our wedding gift as soon as they aren't on backorder, and I'm pretty excited about that.
