homeward bound?

DH found out today that he has a 2 week training in texas later this month! when i found out at work today, i told my cw's and they were like "well, are you going with him?"  the thought really hadnt crossed my mind - but now that it has - we're checking in to it!!  i'm pretty surprised that the airplane fares are relatively low, even though the flight would be just a couple weeks away.....

we have to jump thru some hoops first -

1. i have to get leave approved (probably not a problem)
2. as to be imagined, the military probably wont make his travel arrangements till the last minute - which doesnt help my issue that i need to figure out MY OWN travel arrangements.
3. i will fly out in the middle of his training, so we may not have the same flights back either -  but we gotta figure out which airport he's flying in and out of
4. i need to make sure my family is not up to too much so they have time for me, haha.
5. that said, my dad's job is 4 hours away from my hometown, IF i see him, it may be just a day :-/
6. though the flights are not that expensive, the usual 16 hour/1 stop flight is not available... i'm looking at 22 hours with at least 2 stops....

but we'll see - hopefully it works out! i'll keep you posted :)
