f/u to flu shot incident

The pedi finally called me back yesterday.  At first they tried to tell me that he DID NOT have the shot.  I think I remember when my child gets a shot.  They looked his chart over and found the nurse wrote it on the back of his chart, not in the place it should have been.  When he got his shot, we did not see our regular doctor/nurse.  The first time babies get the flu shot it is done in two doses, but this was his second time so he got a regular dose.

My H and I learned a valuable lesson to always ask the doctor to check the chart.  If either one of us have doubt we will check with the other parent about which shots have been administered before allowing the doctor to vaccinate.  I am just thankful it was only the flu shot and not something else more dangerous.
