We should have just given him a coffee
Ian's been pretty sick this week, and we spent all morning at the pediatrician's office. He has RSV, and had a dose of prednisone and two albuterol treatments while we were there. On the second treatment we noticed his heart was pounding, and the doc said albuterol can have similar side effects to caffeine.
He's had another treatment since we got home, and is bouncing off the walls. I, on the other hand, am about to collapse since he was up every hour or so last night.
Re: We should have just given him a coffee
I do not envy you. Albuterol turns me into a nutcase. Even my inhaler does that, nevermind the nebulizer treatments.
On the plus side, I generally crash pretty hard so once he gets it out of his system, I bet he'll be out for a good long while.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
Oh no! Poor Ian! Poor Kay!
I hope he feels better soon, and gets back to a normal sleep schedule soon.
