Well, this sucks.
So I've mentioned the girl I mentor here and how she's had a bad year, what with beating a girl up at school so badly she wet her pants. Just found out from the school that she's pregnant. And dropping out to go to adult school to get her GED. So now I wonder if she was lying to me about the pregnancy test I bought her being negative.. She hasn't answered my texts so who knows what's going on with her.
I feel sad and disappointed. I just hoped for better for her life, you know? She's smart and it's a real shame that she's setting herself up to follow in her mom's footsteps of multiple baby daddies, living on assistance and in public housing.

This is why I don't help people who have a long history of making poor desicions. They rarely ever learn and simply use you for help or support when they have no other options. It's sad, but I'd rather help out someone who is down on luck but doesn't stay in the habit of putting themselves there.
