As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Hello, Nesties!!! I've been MIA for so dang long and I wanted to just drop in and say hello and hope that everyone had super-duper holidays!
I've started my new job - 3rd week. It's okay, the pay is much better, but the commute sucks. It's an hour each way and DH and I can no longer carpool together. I totally changed careers and it's a HUGE learning curve - I used to work for the Nature Preserves, saving the planet (well, bits and pieces of Indy)! Now I process small business loans...yup, it's as fun as it sounds. I'm sure I'll grow to love it here though.
I've been trying to read through posts too...but The Nest is moving at a snail's pace. And every time I disappear into my office (or anywhere...including the bathroom) the lady training me comes looking for me. It's getting annoying.
So on that note...I better get myself back to training before they start cracking the whip again.
Hopefully I'll be able to come and play more. At least I now know that this site isn't blocked here!

Aww, i hear you on long commutes, but I actually love mine. I pop in my ipod and cruise... okay well sometimes I crawl, but I love my alone time in the car!!!

The time I spend commuting seems to be the only time I can be alone anymore, so I actually quite enjoy it
I get to listen to my own music with no comments from the peanut gallery, LOL.

Glad you stopped in to say hey! Hope you start to love the new job - it's definitely on the opposite end of the spectrum from what you were doing so I bet it'll just take time to adjust.
