Apple Straws

Anyone else obsessed with these? Because I really am. They taste just like the cinnamon twists at Taco Bell, but they're healthy and have a slight apple flavor to them. 13 of them is one WW point, and you get a ton in one bag. And I recognize all the words on the ingredient list. I kind of think they'd be a great kids snack too.

Re: Apple Straws

  • I have never heard of/seen these and now I'm intrigued.  I'm also wanting them to be a bit tart, like a green apple.  Where do you buy them?

ETA:  Oh, now I see you said they were cinnamon so they probably aren't tart.  Are these what you have?

  • My co-worker got them at a nearby Wal Mart with a grocery store in it, so I went today and bought three bags. I imagine if they're in Wal Mart they have to be at a lot of stores. Oddly, they were in the cereal aisle. I just went to their website. Apparently Whole Foods sells them. wgourmet.com

  • I've never heard of them, but I want some.

Related, in middle school, my friends and I used to eat apples by stabbing our apples with our juice box straws, putting them out, then eating the bit of apple that was stuck inside the straw. Why? I have no idea.

  • To savor them Moo. And yes. Those are the ones. Love!

  • A WW question - are these 1 point on the old system or 1 point in the new points plus system?
  • Points plus. The old system is dead! Viva la revolucion!

My friends and I did this too.  That's the original apple straw!

It's not as weird as my co-worker eating her banana in pea-sized bites with a spoon though.

  • Dear Christin,

Thank you for introducing me to Apple Straws.  I picked some up last night after our post and will definitely be getting more.

    Love, Garlictits
