Does anyone have a daily chore list?

Hi. I'm a poster on TB and have been looking for a way to break down my weekly cleaning into daily chores. A friend of my suggested asking over here. I'm over whelmed and have baby number 2 on the way so I'm trying to get organized. Does anyone have a chart or even just a list of what seems to work best as far as daily, weekly, monthly chores? The simpler the better. I'm not going to be scrubbing the walls anytime soon. :)

Thanks in advance!

Re: Does anyone have a daily chore list?

  • There is a post below labeled "cleaning list" that has a very detailed list. A lot of the things on it I would move around. For example, I'm also pregnant and have a toddler so it would be virtually impossible for me to clean all three of our bathrooms every day; I would move bathrooms to the "weekly" part of the list. Everyone has different tolerances for things like that, so I would just customize it to your needs. Also, the Queen of Clean has a book titled "A Queen for All Seasons" (or something similar) that I checked out from the library and it has a daily/ weekly/ monthly/ seasonally/ annually list in it. I believe Martha Stewart's big housekeeping book also has a list, but I can't remember for sure.

  • Thank you so much! I'll be taking a look at both. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and with chasing your toddler. It's fun, but boy am I beat. lol

  • I really like flylady.net.  As the PP said, I would probably move around some of the things she suggests, but it is a really good website to get you started.  Good luck and congrats!

  • Someone posted this site on another board - http://www.justmommies.com/articles/home-organization-plan.php

There are monthly PDF calendars that you can print out, as well as daily tasks.

  • After a lot of google searching, I adapted one to my own needs.
