Anyone who has been on a cruise please come in?!

So I am getting ready to book a cruise for this year for my husband and I. I have been on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. After being on Royal Caribbean I would never go back to Carnival. I think Royal beats them hands down in almost everything. That being said, Carnival is pretty much out for me but I was wondering about Princess and Norwegian as well.
I thought a few times about trying one of those "private boats" the ones where there are like 8 passengers but I'm just not quite sure how that would work.
So basically, I'm just asking about everyone's thoughts or suggestions if you've been on a cruise plus maybe it will liven up the board a bit!

I've been on just one cruise, loved it! I've only been on Carnival though (for our honeymoon, Carnival was the only one leaving the day after our wedding)--am itching to go on another (maybe for our 5 year anniversay), so I'll have to keep Royal in mind. I heard great things about Royal and I think my boss went on a Pricess cruise and loved it, but am not 100%. Sorry I can't be more help, am interested in what the others have to say!
