Still waiting on photos?

Hi! New to this board, but I used to post on The Knot on the Baltimore board.

Just curious if any other September brides are STILL waiting to see their wedding photos? I was married on 9/25 and still haven't even gotten a sneak peek :-/

My photogs have kept in touch, and said by contract they can take anywhere from 8-24 weeks... looks like ours are on the upper end of the time frame. The waiting is killing me!

I was also a 9/25er I didn't get my proofs till Dec 4th. I agree the waiting was the worst part. If the photog is still in touch and they did state it could be a long time so I wouldn't be too worried.

Thanks, yeah, I'm not worried about it, but I was thinking it would be in the 12-16 week range maybe. It just seems like most have seen some photos by now... wondering what's taking my photogs so long. I will try to be patient, ugh.

Hi. I thought your name looked familiar - I posted a bit on TK Baltimore board, too.

I have been able to see my photos, but still don't have the disc. That's frustrating enough to me. I can't imagine not even having even seen a teaser yet. You're way more patient than I am. I think I would have been knocking on their door by now. :-)

FWIW, I still haven't seen anything about my video. And I wasn't getting an edited video either - just the raw, untouched footage. But my photography company sucks at communication.

Hi! Since the photog has kept in touch you might just see if they could send a couple teasers to you just to hold you over. The worst they can say is no. Hope you get them soon!

I'm still waiting. I contacted the photog about 3 weeks ago and he said he would mail another disc since the other "got lost in the mail" but I still haven't seen anything. I emailed him last week checking status and still have not heard a response yet.

Thanks! Maybe I'll try that. I won't even remember my wedding by the time they're ready, so it will be a nice refresher...hahaha.

When I started getting impatient, I sent my photographer a very nice, friendly e-mail that said something like, "I know you said that it could take up to xx weeks, and I realize that there are a lot of photos to go through, but I was wondering if you have any that are ready to be shared? I don't mean to be a pest, but my husband and I would love to see some photos, if only to hold us over until they're all ready. Thank you!" You could make it a little more formal, but basically say the same thing. He e-mailed me back with 10 teasers, which honestly went a HUGE way in quelling my impatience.

Edit: "went a huge way" makes so freaking sense. I was thinking 'went a long way' or 'made a huge difference' and that is the grammar bomb I came up with instead.

Glad I'm not alone. I love their work, so I keep telling myself it will be worth the wait... even if does end up being 6 months.

Deb, I'd be pissed in your situation too. But the OP seems like she's still in the window her photog quoted? I didn't actually do the math.

WTF - are you able to go to their office? If so, I'd do that and pick up the disk in person since it conveniently keeps getting "lost in the mail"
