Back in the day TV

While I was on Christmas break, I discovered that Little House on the Prairie comes on at 6am on one of the local channels here.  I freaking LOVE that show!  I am so excited!  I watched it every day of my break, and since Keith leave around 6:15am in the morning, I can watch it every day before work now too!  Yay!

Also, after it goes off, The Beverly Hillbillies comes on another channel, for an hour.  My whole morning TV viewing during the break was awesome!

LHOTP, Beverly Hillbillies, and an hour of Frasier!  It was heaven!

What are some of your favorite old TV shows?

Re: Back in the day TV

  • I was a BIG Little House fan!  I also loved Happy Days, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Quantum Leap and China Beach.  My all time favorite show is I Love Lucy!  Last year I bought the full DVD set and I've been watching it over the past few months, it's such fun!

  • I loved buffy! Also, In Living Color and Martin!
  • My favorite is MASH. The last episode was when I was a senior in college. We had a sorority party with the pledges to watch the last episode.
  • I loved Buffy as well, plus Boy Meets World and and I'm kind of ashamed to say, The adventures of Lois and Clark. DH and his family are huge MASH fans. I loved most of the TGIF shows.

  • I loved Bewitched!  I love to watch reruns when I see it on :o)  I also watched Seaquest (I think that is what it was called), Macgyver and Boy Meets World.

  • The Cosby Show.

I could watch it all day long and NEVER get tired of it.

  • Totally loved Charlie's Angels and Flipper... also would watch Married With Children (felt scandalous watching it when I was in elementary school)

  • I too am a Buffy fan. I own every season and love to watch it still! Gilmore Girls isn't really back in the day but I love it. And I am a total Little House junkie. If I am up and its on I will totally watch it.

  • I LOVE the Golden Girls.  They are on at 9 (or were last summer when I was off work) and I always made sure my workout was that time so I could enjoy.  They still make me laugh out loud.

And I adore Gilmore Girls too, but I agree they are not old school yet.  Gilmore Girls are my during the school year workout show.

I also LOVE Saved by the Bell.  I make SBTB references in my classroom all the time and so many kids don't get them....so sad.  I don't understand why when I call a time out during a lab activity why everyone doesn't instantly freeze and wait for me to say time in before moving again.

  • I love older shows!! Lucy, Little House, The Waltons, Bewitched, and Golden Girls are my faves! Waltons and Golden Girls are tied for first favorite!
  • Ahh I am a sucker for older shows, Nick at Nite used to be my go-to channel in the 90's..

I Love Lucy, Welcome Back Kotter, All in the Family, I Dream of Genie, Munsters, Bob Newhart, Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore, Taxi, Sanford & Son, Three's Company, Get Smart, *** Van ***, Happy Days, .. those are just off the top of my head.  Anytime I catch any of these on, I'm glued for a few hours!

  • I watched entirely too much TV growing up, so I have quite a few:

A-Team, Scarecrow & Mrs. King, Magnum P.I., Quantum Leap, Cosby Show, Family Ties, Simon & Simon, Charlie's Angels

But, without a doubt, my favorite was always MacGyver.  Coincidentally, Richard Dean Anderson starred in one of my favorite more recent shows: Stargate SG-1.

At first I was thinking, what does she mean?  Then I went back and compared your two lists and realized what happened.  That's pretty funny!
