I'm just curious if anyone on here is in any groups or familiar with meetup.com?
Essentially there are all kinds of groups everyone in the US (not sure about international) for every hobby. There are message boards and then obviously Meet Ups/get-togethers.
When we first starting looking for bulldogs I'd ask everyone one the street about their breeder, etc. and several people referred us to the meetup group. It's been a great resource and once a month or so there are bulldog meetups. Essentially 50+ bullies running around at doggie-playgrounds, etc. It's hilarious.
Anywho, just curious is anyone else belongs?
Re: Do you MeetUp?
Awesome Montana! I can totally see using it as a resource when we have kids. And since for now Oscar is like our kid, we use it for him. It's really funny b/c we've made friends through it now that sometime when we're out for walks and such, we'll recognize people from bullie-meetups.
Christie- I would assume Toledo would have it. You can start groups yourself and see if any interest is peaked too. One of my friends who lives in Indianapolis started a Golden Lab group after she heard how much fun we've had with the Chicago Bulldog group.
Now that we're done with the wedding, I'm thinking about looking for a running group or something to join too

When I lived in Oklahoma City, my room mate and I went to a couple of Boston Terrier MeetUps...she has two adorable Bostons. They were a lot of fun!
Now that I'm in KC, the only MeetUp I go to is an ASL (Sign Language) conversational group, just so I can keep my skills sharp. It's a bit hard to follow sometimes if you're not Deaf, but it's a very lively group anyway!
When I moved to Oklahoma City I was a part of a "Discover OKC" meetup, where the coordinator planned different cool events around the town. She (the coordinator) ended up becoming my best friend in OKC.
Since moving to Tulsa I joined a couples one, but haven't been to anything. Their events don't seem as fun as the one that the OKC group had.
