dh just got me the best gift ever!
a canon rebel and two lenses! We discussed getting a nice dslr before we have kids and of course I've hoped for one, but knew it was way too expensive to get now. well, dh got a very unexpected bonus a few weeks ago and while we always can use extra money to go towards student loans, he went ahead and got it for me! he found a deal and was able to get the 2nd lens basically for free.
I really wanted one to take nice family photos once we have kids and now I have lots of time to teach myself.
I've been crying for about an hour. we NEVER do crazy gifts like this. this is actually the first year we've even done anniversary gifts at all. all I got him was a stinking $20 wallet (for the 3 year 'leather' anniversary). haha. I can't wait to play w/ it tomorrow!

That is SO cool! I got the Canon Rebel xsi from my parents 3 years ago, and Im ashamed to say I havent learned how to use it yet (only using auto now). I plan to learn this year! Which two lenses did you get?
